Important Character Discussion Rules​

The 4/01 Direct brought tons of new information regarding the future of "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS". With it came news that DLC characters are currently being planned and that fans can actually submit a character they desire to be considered by director Masahiro Sakurai and his staff. You can fill out the ballot here.

However, this does not mean that individual threads can be made to gain support for a character.

Do not make individual threads to ask for votes for certain characters. These will be locked immediately without notification. Continued reposting of these threads will result in warnings or infractions so do yourself a favor and do not post these sort of threads. In addition, do not attack other character support threads that support a character you dislike. Flame wars/raids between support threads will not be tolerated. If you see any of these rules being broken, please report them to the staff using the "Report" function.

You can find your characters support thread by performing a search within this section. Just go up to the search bar found near the Smashboards title and type in your characters name. Remember to also click "Search Titles Only". Please bare in mind that certain character threads were locked after the games release since they were seen as not being justifiable support threads (examples include Dark Samus, Isabelle, and Ridley) as they are already included in the game. This rule is still in effect so do not make a thread for a character whose support thread was previously locked. Instead, bring the issue to the staff and the decision will be made to keep it locked or re-open it. Failing to do and posting it will be an immediate lock and may result in a warning/infraction.

If you wish to show your support to a thread that has been locked due to the aforementioned reasons, the Social Groups are a great way to create a community dedicated to those characters! Want to show your larger than life support for Ridley? Tired of seeing Chrom tethered to Robin's Final Smash? The Social Groups are the ideal place to have these discussions!
