Let's say Smash Ultimate has the acclaimed story mode "The Subspace Emissary" rebooted. You know this thread's theme. There are only a few rules:
1. Give bigger roles to Sonic, Wolf, Toon Link, Jigglypuff and add Crazy Hand and Master Core to the story in whatever way you want.
2. Edits to the story or to the character's roles are also accepted. Or if you want to post a WHOLE edit to the story.
MY VERSION
Link: Took the Master Sword after seeing the incoming invasion on the Midair Stadium.
Dark Samus: Replaces the Shadow Bug clones guarding the Power Suit in the Isle of Ancients.
Luigi: Same role (kind of). Begins his adventure inside the Midair Stadium with Daisy before the explosion of the bomb. When the Halberd arrives the Koopalings come and fight against Luigi, Daisy, Shulk and Little Mac, but Bowser Jr. turns her into a trophy and he starts chasing the Halberd alone, barely escaping the Subspace Bomb and hoping that his bro is fine. Fights against them again at the Ruined Zoo along with Simon Belmont sometime before Lucas arrives there. He keeps chasing the Halberd until Dedede knocks him out. Reunites with Daisy in the Subspace.
Ness: If Ninten is in he would disappear searching for him, prompting Lucas to search for Ness at the Ruined Zoo until Porky arrives.
Jigglypuff: She and Toon Link came for a rest on the shore where Diddy and Fox defeated Rayquaza and meet Wolf there, who was analyzing the destroyed Arwing in hopes that Fox got killed. The two defeat him along with Fox and Diddy and join the two in saving DK. They join Diddy, Falcon, Olimar and Alph in entering the Isle of the Ancients.
Daisy: Was inside the Midair Stadium when the invasion started. After getting turned into a trophy from the Koopalings she got carried on the Halberd and she stayed a trophy until Snake came with his team.
Dr. Mario: Mario becomes him when characters are hurt but not turned into trophies.
Pichu: Is in the battery storage with Pikachu. Joins Samus and Pikachu in exploring the Isle of the Ancients.
Any FE pick that is not Roy or Corrin: They are with Marth in the Battlefield Fortress. Joined up by Meta Knight in the same style as original Subspace. Female Robin joins everyone in the Subspace because of time-space distortion caused by Tabuu.
Young Link: Is attacked by Primids in the forest and is saved by Link and Yoshi. He joines them for the rest of the adventure.
Mewtwo: Lives in the ruins with Charizard, Ivysaur and Greninja. Isn't captured by Red but tags along with him.
Roy: Is with Ike and Female Corrin before they meet up with the rest of the FE crew and Meta Knight.
Pit: Realizes that Skyworld's invasion was a trap and Palutena got captured. He is in search of her since then.
Dark Pit: Sneaks on the Halberd from behind to stop the invasion and save Palutena before Pit can and is followed by the Duck Hunt Duo. They fight Jr. and the Koopalings before going into hiding until Snake blows his cover and they join him.
Pokèmon Trainer: Called Red here (as it should be). Leaf joins him and Lucas at the entrance of the ruins. She has a shiny Squirtle and a shiny Ivysaur.
Sonic: This one is big. He, Mega Man and Pac-Man saw every single moment of the Halberd being taken by the Subspace Army and knew what was going on. They started travelling to summon Smashers from other dimensions. They are able to travel with Richter, Bayonetta, Ryu, Cloud and later Simon when they find him in the Ruined Zoo. Snake was supposed to travel with them but got teleported on the Halberd by mistake. Sonic's team enters in Subspace last, which explains his late arrival.
Olimar: Alph is with him every single moment of the adventure.
R.O.B.: There are two of them that survive the extinction and join the Smashers: the Ancient Minister and another one (the R.O.B. which doesn't have Famicom colors).
Wolf: Is with the bad guys. Gets defeated along with Duon, Junior and the Koopalings on the Halberd's Bridge. Their trophies are thrown into a Subspace explosion and they are later found before the Smashers enter the Great Maze.
Villager: New Leaf City is under attack of the Army. He and Isabelle travel to stop them with the Inklings. They eventually join Mario and Lucas' team before the big reunion.
Mega Man: Read Sonic.
Wii Fit Trainer: Both trainers, male and female, lived on the Isle of the Ancients before the events of the plot. They join the others in escaping the island from a crazed Meta Ridley.
Rosalina & Luma: Dedede called for help. She volunteered to get turned into a trophy and she received a Dedede Brooch. Joins Dedede's team in Subspace.
Little Mac: Was supposed to fight with Shulk after Mario and Kirby's match but the Subspace Bomb exploded. The two of them later joined Mario and Link's team in chasing down Dedede.
Mii Fighters: Miis are the common population in the World of Trophies. These three survived the Midair Stadium explosion and under the orders of Nikki decided to stop the invasion. They join Sonic's team.
Palutena: Gets turned into a trophy moments after Pit leaves to help the heroes by Ganondorf. Remains a trophy until Snake arrives and frees her, Daisy, Peach and Zelda.
Pac-Man: Read Mega Man.
Shulk: Read Little Mac.
Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings: They are with the bad guys. Along with Wolf they are in charge of keeping control on the Halberd and with the Game & Watch clones.
Corrin: Is with Ike and Ryu. Male Corrin joins them after the creation of the Great Maze which tears apart time and space, which is the same reason Female Robin later joins the Smashers.
Inkling: The orange girl and the blue boy travel out of Inkopolis after a Subspace Bomb exploded in it. They join Villager and Isabelle.
Ridley: Only after getting defeated as Meta Ridley he turns into a trophy. He joins the heroes in the Great Maze to kill Tabuu.
Any third party character that is not Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man or Snake: Read Sonic.
King K. Rool: Is always with Bowser when he follows DK and Diddy. Gets defeated on the Smash Skiff and his trophy is left in the Isle of the Ancients.
Isabelle: Read Villager.
Tabuu's true plan is to summon the Master Core, so he also takes control of Crazy Hand and uses the Great Maze as a ritual object. After killing Master Hand he is able to summon Master Core from its ashes. Master Core permanently kills Tabuu and the over 70 Smashers defeat their Master Shadow Clones in a fight reminiscent of the Wakanda Battle in Infinity War while the Original 8 enter the Master Fortress to stop this once and for all.
Also, a kid named Masahiro always appears to Mario in his dreams when he is a trophy, giving him important instructions.
MY PICKS
Geno would be one of the captured test subjects that are used to try the Dark Cannons, along with Ninten, while Shadow, Ken and Steve would travel with Sonic and his team. The Octolings would travel with the Inklings, while any new Pokèmon rep would be in the ruins along with Mewtwo and the others. Bandana Dee would be with Luigi and Ness as a candidate to become a trophy.
