if he goes little behind u and u cannot pivot grab the only thing u can do is turn around and grab. For that u don't need to cancel bc ur not in motion.

I'm going to take a stab at this and say that when you say grab cancel you mean JC grab which is a jump canceled grab. And if they managed to do that small DI behind you fast enough at low percentages you cannot regrab them. Don't knee them during a grab and just throw them fast and they should have trouble DIing properly. Plus you can always dthrow quickly to fsmash if you think they are focusing on DI and may miss the tech.
