Garbage characters are all a mater of opinion. Like I said Jiggs was considered garbage in Melee until Mango and Hbox. Pikachu was a solid mid tier until Axe.Jiggs is garbage Shulk is mediocre in everything, yet a Shulk main is SOMEHOW in top 20 in California. He's doing something that the rest of us are not.
Why is Bowser so low? None of those characters please casuals more than Bowser with his monster strength. My guess, but IDK for certain

As I said, I don' know much about this. Why is Bowser so low? None of those characters please casuals more than Bowser with his monster strength.
Neither do I. It's a casual tier list for fun. I just figure Bowser is a pretty obvious top tier to casuals. As I said, I don' know much about this.
Uh?has two things going for him: Ease of use, and FLUDD being the destroyer of worlds. Some characters would be undeniably S tier if not for FLUDD basically counterpicking them, like Mac.
Funny. Palutena is pretty bad in casual play, at least from what I've seen. She's very light, so characters like Bowser and Ganondorf kill her super early, her recovery is hard to control, and I don't feel like casual players would care much for her specials.
How does this even work? What if a casual does care about her specials, or if a casual does know how to use Ryu's "advanced" inputs, or they know that Kirby's down-b is dumb and punishable?Casuals have no idea how to use his specials or advanced button commands. So basically you're limited to spamming smash attacks and aerials then.
Crap, forgot about Kirby's stone! Better change this....My guess, but IDK for certain

Where do you put Palutena on a competitive tier list? How does this even work? What if a casual does care about her specials, or if a casual does know how to use Ryu's "advanced" inputs, or they know that Kirby's down-b is dumb and punishable?
You can still have an understanding of the game and still be a casual player. Which leads back to my original question, why would a casual tier list be any different from a "competitive" tier list.
Anyways, as a rebuttal to your Palu comments. Her recovery is definitely on the easier side, you just warp in the direction that the stick is tilted. It's not like Diddy's or Pikachu where you have to manage a bit extra. Normal specials are eh, but custom specials are dope.
Probably the same with Marth. Most newbies assume he's female because he kind of looks it anyway.Sadly, little 8 year Johnny probably would look at Lucina and never use her since she's an anime girl from some game he's never heard of, really.
Well, I knew Marth was a man when I was a little lad because I played Melee and had a working set of eyes. Melee is the game where he looks the least...Probably the same with Marth. Most newbies assume he's female because he kind of looks it anyway.
Low, perhaps the very bottom of mid-tier, but no higher. She just doesn't have the tools to easily fend off the better characters. I only put her high for a "casual" tier list because she's my character behind ZSS and because I don't understand what makes it different from a "competitive" one.Where do you put Palutena on a competitive tier list?
Well, basically, it's more of a tier list of "Who the inexperienced players can play as and win".competitive
You walk over to the ledge and hit down B twice... IDK, I see them use it effectively all the time. The list is more for FFAs then 1v1s.Uh?
Probably not all of them, but I assure you a very large portion of casuals can't use FLUDD at all. I sure couldn't when I played Brawl and I was a Mario main long before that game. It still took me about 20 2 stock matches for me to learn how to use it and when to charge it correctly. And obviously I charge it and sometimes die with it fully charged without ever using it, it happens to the best of us.
I would put her at bottom 10 for the same reasons.Low, perhaps the very bottom of mid-tier, but no higher. She just doesn't have the tools to easily fend off the better characters. I only put her high for a "casual" tier list because she's my character behind ZSS and because I don't understand what makes it different from a "competitive" one.
when i was reaidng this thread i was assuming items were on and very few restricted stages (never met a causal that like pacland or palutena temple or 75 meters.)Low, perhaps the very bottom of mid-tier, but no higher. She just doesn't have the tools to easily fend off the better characters. I only put her high for a "casual" tier list because she's my character behind ZSS and because I don't understand what makes it different from a "competitive" one.
Fixed that for you.SSSSSS:
