Moderators: Check for yourself before closing the thread, this isn't a fake. If it's already somewhere else on the forums please let me know =)

I saw this
I'm hoping for C. Falcon or a newcomer next wensday :p
and decided to make a thread on my knowledge. I figured since this guy said this, there might be others that might want to be enlightened.

In this video, at approx. 3:41, the Red Alloy is seen spawning on the lower right-hand platform and immediately using Captain Falcon's neutral air, if you watch you can also see him do his back air off of the platform, then jump and use a knee before Ike owns all of them.

There ya have it. Captain Falcon is in...not that we didn't already know because of the Goro trophy, but at least all you CF fans can rest easy.

Take out the *** in between fa-g to make it work.

I still dunno why anyone would ever expect him not to be in Brawl...

He's obviously copying the Male Wireframe from Melee, so that means the Male Wireframe is confirmed for Brawl.

Not that I'm denying Captain Falcon's chances for Brawl, but this is a very fine case of "jumping to conclusions" which I can't stand seeing.

Copying the male wireframe from melee? That doesn't even make sense =) Since when do the wireframes copy previous versions? There is no archetype for the male wireframe from melee, it took on characteristics of the playable characters, and that one is undeniably Captain Falcon. I don't believe that's it's, in any case, "jumping to conclusions." I understand your skepticism though. =)

right, because there is always that possibilty that Sakurai and his team created a full set of all Captain Falcon's move animations for the Red Alloy and then decided to leave Falcon out of the game....but then decided to include the Male Wireframe as a playable character instead.

Sure, Falcon isn't OFFICIALLY confirmed on the dojo, but the OP (and many other people) made a perfectly reasonable (and logical) assumption. I understand that you're trying very hard to play devil's advocate here, but what you suggested is neither logical nor is it reasonable. "Jumping to conclusions" ...bah.

The point is that this is no more a confirmation of Captain Falcon being playable in Brawl than the Anouma interview "confirming" Sheik and Ganondorf playable from months back. The designs were merely sent, with NO indication of what degree they would be used fore (playable character, trophy, sticker?). As in this case, the animations from Melee were merely recycled. Even if the result is that the Red Alloy is "copying" Captain Falcon's animations or not, they're no different than the ones seen in Melee, and as of now there is no reason to get your hopes up to the point of throwing around the word "confirmation" like it's a toy.

Also, this is old. Go away.

did you have this thread unlocked just so you could respond to me? i'm actually quite flattered. :)

but you are right, this is old. and there is really no point us arguing about it since we both know that Captain Falcon is in the game regardless, for a multitude of reasons, so you can lock it back up now.

Yeah, the original/other thread is STILL alive...search, please (or click on this:
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=3671097#post3671097 )...but to make it quick and painless...here's a Copy&Paste from my post in that thread that solved it ALL.

So, w/o further ado,...here it is again.

CHECK IT:
---------------------------------------------------

RED ALLOY is
CAPTAIN FALCON

~Cleary, it's Captain Falcon...no question about that~

BLUE ALLOY is
ZELDA PEACH

~it's Peach...the arms match, the feet match, it all matches....PEACH PEACH PEACH!
For the first time we have Peach as a multi-(wo)man~

~(picture credit for these 2 of Peach goes to SiegK)~

YELLOW ALLOY is
MARIO

~the horns are there for adornment...just for show. this is a pose from when Mario
turns around to face the other way from RIGHT to LEFT. like with Zelda, looks like
they re-worked some body movements...his head doesn't turn as much. Keep in
mind that Sakurai has implemented a new feature of "locking eye-contact" with other
characters (when two characters' heads and eyes stay in focus with eachother)~

GREEN ALLOY is
KIRBY

~despite the sir kibbles-esque mohawk and the weird "arabian knights" shoes, this
is in fact, Kirby. if you recall, in Smash 64, Kirby was comprised of two spheres on top
of eachother (like a 2-sphered snowman) for his Polygon counterpart. Pikachu looked
like a fat reptile with a short Yoshi-esque tail (no lightning bolt tail). HERE IS A VIDEO
of a 64 fighting polygon fight with Link vs. (Mario) (Link) and (Pikachu) Polygon figures:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTz2J5VPL4w~

~OH yeah...this is Kirby (like Mario) turning from facing RIGHT to LEFT~

Now, the good stuff...as for the animations...take a gander:

FIRST SCREEN SHOT OF ACTION

~YELLOW ALLOY (MARIO) is being hit~

~GREEN ALLOY (KIRBY) is being hit~
~now with this oblong shape, it's a result of a "high velocity" impact...it's in Melee, too~

SECOND SCREEN SHOT OF ACTION

~RED ALLOY (CAPTAIN FALCON) being hit~

~YELLOW ALLOY (MARIO) descending~

~GREEN ALLOY (KIRBY) being hit~
~either before or after the oblong-effect takes place from impact~

NOW::::

as for all you kiddies out there speculating over the size: YOU ALL HAVE POOR MEMORY!
Wireframes were always bigger in size than the original characters they represent in
Melee. Take a look:

~OMG! They're giants!!!!~

~so enough of the "ZOMG!!!1 It might be luigi + bowser!" "Zir KIbblets + birby!" "Zamus +
pizza!!!"~

~it's simply, CAP FALCON, ZELDA PEACH, MARIO, and KIRBY...~

may this argument rest in peace....
