I'm sure this is known by most tourney players, but I saw that it wasn't wide spread knowledge and figured some of the noobs should know. In one of the threads they said it was possible to cancel the lag on fair by doing a full jump and performing the move at the top so when you land you have no lag.

There is whoever another way to perform this lower to the ground. while it is no where near thunderstorming it is useful if you are being edge guarded. If you are hanging from a ledge and jump and do the fair just before you hit the peak height you will have no landing lag at all. This is limited but still useful if someone jumps expecting to attack or attacks when you land expecting lag only to get a foot in their face.

Also if you hold backwards you will move back to the ledge and can perform any other aerial at stages edge like uair if they standing there and still have your third jump to recover. I don't you can perform a second fair and recover.

Any way I will have vids up tomorrow since I'm at work right now.

You can also "cancel" the lag by doing the move off of the stage. Then you don't have any "landing" lag.

That makes for one of the best suicide kills. The objective iis to jump after your opponent at the point of no return, hit with the Fair, and then they should die as you free fall toward what seems to be eminent doom. They will never see it coming! Make sure it's their last stock of course.

I won a melee tournament match at pound this way, it was quite a risk.

It isn't hard to make it back from a fair off the stage. They like tacked on a weird landing animation that makes it a lot laggier than it is.

So... This thread is saying that you don't suffer landing lag from your fair if you don't land while doing your fair? Either by doing it high in the air, or off the stage? I'm sure nobody needs to be told this ><

Yes but everyone knows you can do it by jumping, by hanging off the edge of the stage you can do it lower to the ground making slightly more usefull.

i would have assumed that no one would need to be told what this thread was about if they were going to post, obviously i presumed too much. the main point is that the ledgehoped fair has 0 lag upon landing on the stage. however this was lost when someone dumb posted 'or not landing it at all hehehehhe' as a joke.

That isn't what I was saying. Yes, you can make it back, but it is cooler when you go low enough so that you can't but are just so confident that it will work. Suicide kills FTW!
