can you copy homebrew?

Well my wii's disc reader burnt out yesterday and I have to send it to get fixed tomorrow, I was deleting my homebrew channel incase they decide to turn on my wii and look at it. Then I noticed you could copy the channel to an SD card so I just decided to do this.

Now if I upload the channel to another wii will it work fine? It seems like it might be an easier way to install homebrew if you can.

You have to install the Homebrew channel through Twilight Hack. The purpose of keeping channels on the SD is because that's what the Homebrew channel is for.
