Can I use a c-stick with a nintendo switch pro controller?

You see, I play smash on a competitive level, and I want myself that sweet, sweet c-stick. I'm thinking about buying a Nintendo switch pro controller for smash, but what I need to know is this, Give it to me straight, DOES THAT SECOND STICK ON THE PRO CONTROLLER WORK JUST LIKE THE C-STICK ON A GAMECUBE CONTROLLER? CAN I SET IT TO TILT, SMASH ETC.? OR DO I NEED TO BUY A GC CONTROLLER? I've been trying to find out the answer for a long time now, please help

If it’s anything like a Wii U pro control and smash 4, not only will the second stick work as a c stick, but you can set it to smash or tilt
