Can anybody explain these brown Splatoon squids?

They annoy me and lag the site. What purpose are they here for, how long will they last, and is there any way to remove them?

I think those are Bloopers, actually. They have the arrow-shaped heads, don't have the longer side tentacles like the Inklings in squid form, and they move exactly like Bloopers do in the games.

But yeah, no clue what they're doing here. The second Mario Kart 8 DLC pack drops today, but there isn't anything Blooper-themed in it...

I opened them in Chrome's inspect element and they are called squids.php so it might be true thou the tentacles don't match. They match more a Blooper from Mario but if we base on that the eyes do not match Both Inklings and Bloopers are Squids so that doesn't help identify. So for now it's an ambiguous named script with the figures being Splatoon colored but Blooper resembling. Need to dwelve deeper in the matter.
Here is how they look when split from the site. Got it from the element inspector.

I honestly thought it had something to do with Splatoon. I also think they are very cute!

If you are still wondering, they are indeed Splatoon-related.

They are here in regards to the release of Squidboards, which will be the sister-site to Smashboards, and of course will be pertaining to the soon release of Splatoon.

The squids are not permanent.
