Calling All Importers!

This is a call to all Smash World Forums members who intend to import Super Smash Bros. Brawl from Japan upon release.

As I live in England, I can't really just wait for it to come out, now, can I?

I've already got my preorder from Play-Asia.com, which will be shipped on the 24th and delivered by FedEx. Considering it will be shipped on Thursday, I think the earliest I can expect to get it is on Saturday the 26th, otherwise, it will probably be Monday.

After I've played it a bit, I'll report on my findings for you all.

Just wondering who else here is importing, and when they expect to get hold of it?

Technically, if HK rules are in effect (and they usually are), import retailers will probably get the game by like the 20th or there-abouts. So, if you paid for top-billing shipping, you should stand to have it BY the 24th.

Me, I'm also importing. Got a JP Wii, after all. ^_^

I think we'll already know everything of importance by the time importers get their copies and unlock stuff. But it'll certainly be good to get the more in-depth details from native English speakers.

I wouldnt waste my time or money importing a game. Well be getting Brawl like 2 weeks after Japan's release. And besides, well have all of the leaked info much earlier then when you guys actually get to play the game.

That depends, really, oh ye of so much hater-ade.

Years ago, Melee's goods were leaked a full month before release. Here we are, about two weeks away, and no leaks to speak of. I think Nintendo made it a point to try and keep a lid on this game as much as they possibly could.

In short, I wouldn't expect to hear/see any leaks before the 20th (when people in Hong Kong stand to get the game in stock in their stores, and can then go forth to play the game). And even then, they're only human. They can't hope to cover all the ground in a night.

There's a team of translators (mostly the same from my "Japanese Forums" who will translate some stuff for the game for us importers.
