Buying american Wii. WIll it work in Sweden?

Im from Sweden but I'm currently visiting the states. Im wondering, if I buy an Wii here, will it work in Sweden? My dad says it wont because the signals and everything is different so the screen will be black&white and upsidedown. Just want to know, cause if brawl is coming out in Q3, I dont wanna wait.

If sweden runs on DC current you'll need a converter for that also and you'll need a ntsc TV...

It'll be a big mess but you can get it working easily enough.

Most modern TV's can switch to NTSC, so that shouldn't be a problem, but you need a converter.

Im Swedish with an american wii. Yes it will work if you use a stepdown converter and import your games. Personally I've already preordered Brawl.
