Dingodile is a recurring character in the Crash Bandicoot series. Initially a flamethrower sporting antagonist, he's had a change of heart in recent years and now runs a diner where he sells such appitising(?) meals(?) as Roadkill Pie and Braised Bat Tacos - they may sound gross but they're better than anything lousy old Papa Batfield could do!

"Wait: Crash isn't in Smash yet! Shouldn't he be the representative for his series?"
Yes. There is prescident for series getting multiple reps in their introduction - Mario, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and Castlevania (the last being a fellow 3rd party) - and even then Dingo doesn't need to be introduced in the same game as Crash, just as Sephiroth wasn't introduced alongside Cloud. Crash in SSBU DLC and Dingo in a future game, be it base game or DLC, seems like a preferable scenario.

"Why give Crash a second rep anyway?"
With 50 million copies sold total, the Crash series has sold more than series like Wii Fit, Pac-Man, Street Fighter and Mega Man. The series is hugely popular in certain markets like the UK and has in recent years returned to the respected spot in the gaming climate it had in its debut thanks to an amazing set of remakes and a wonderful sequel.

"Why Dingodile over Coco/Tawna/Cortex?"
Not to drag down fans of these characters but Cortex's moveset would mainly be generic laser blasts, Coco is too similar to Crash to work as even a semiclone but too differently shaped to be an efficient ecco, and Tawna is too recent an introduction while being hard to composite into the OG Tawna given their highly different personalities and aesthetics. Dingodile on the other hand benefits from seniority and moveset potential, given he has had two very different weapons across the series, and is also generally the most popular of Crash 4's additional playable characters.

"What sort of moveset could Dingodile provide?"
As a hefty guy armed with a flamethrower and spiky tail, he'd be a unique take on the ultraheavyweight archetype, as a zoner with long range moves you rarely see from heavyweights as well as a lot of windboxes thanks to his vacuum gun.
