Unlikely. Remember we're only a week and a half from the game's release in Japan. I can't imagine why a demo used now would be from a buggy or incomplete version of the game when it absolutely has to have gone gold by now to be ready for the release.

All "prophets" that include Aslhey or 9-Volt in their playable roster are fake. Brawl Central deconfirmed this because they appear in the WarioWare stage. But what they do is still unclear, though.

Ike got a speed buff. He's not as slow as he once was. And, from what Brawl Central says:

Ike is being called a noob killer. His Side Special charged can KO Kirby and Meta Knight at 35%. He is being called "too powerful".

I really hope that he doesn't become a cheap character to use.
Even if he does, I'm still using him. I was with him since August, and even after everyone bashed him and said he was useless.

No hints of a speed buff so far other than the fact that the impressions are still saying he's horribly slow as if there were NO changes in ANY speed in attacks or his movement. I believe it was confirmed that Dedede is SLOWER than Ike in terms of movement.

If Ike is this way he is now at the demo, he'll be both a noob-killer and a noob's character.

I heard he received a speed buff at the Jumpfesta demo, but I could definitely be wrong. I know that he's still powerful, though, and many of his attacks have good reach. I'm happy everything worked out.

At best, you can try to master a slow character such as Roy and/or Ganondorf in Melee since you're maining Ike. Then again, our views are similar and I'm guessing the first thing you'll do, like me when you first play Brawl is head to Training mode and try to master him in average combat that way? At least, I remember that's the first thing I did when I got Melee, it is the intended thing to do afterall.

Ike is so god **** unique in this game, he definetly doesn't remind me of Roy and, he easily turned off my interest in Marth because of the Bulldozer he is. A FE character in Brawl that's very slow yet very powerful, more powerful than most of the powerhouse giants such as DK and Bowser? I'm there!

A speed buff is something that makes you wonder if its what's truly on Sakurai's mind for balance, I'm not complaining here though.

I'll give him credit for the last few bits of info, but I'd like to point out that I did not get most of my info frrm him. I think 6 out of like 60 points are from him. Me, Aeris, and .Yoshi were translating all the info and I was viewing some other sources before he even posted.

Says you. My cousin's a tourney-goer and he's on his way to becoming a high school teacher.
I play gamed for the competitive aspects. A fun game means nothing to me if it has a broken and flawed multiplayer aspect. I'm not a 'hardcore gamer' either.

To clear things up: The "invisible lag" on Ike's hard attacks has been removed, making him substantially better. His animations aren't any faster, but his attacks start at the intended moment without the pause that they used to have.

So, I just read the Whobby stuff and I really like what I'm seeing. I especially like any news about PKMN Trainer and Ike (who is sounding decent again), and I like how we were wrong about DK's Final Smash sucking (90% of the screen is frickin' awesome).
