Why did they leave out doctor mario? he was a good character in melee, and he could have been improved if he was in brawl. i would have loved to see his gameplay in brawl. why did they leave him out?

He's still in there, he's now just Zero Suit Doctor Mario.

Doctor Mario isn't as popular, and his moveset was bewilderingly similar to Mario. 'nuff said. Of course, Mario got nerfed beyond recognition and is no longer usable either.
