According to all the information I've read about Brawl, the tiers sound a lot like this to me. It gets very iffy around the mid to low tiers though.

Top tier:
Mario (Great combos, recovery, better range than in Melee, a projectile that is probably reasonably spammable, increased kill options than in Melee, what's not to love?)

High tier:
Metaknight
Pit
Fox
Pikachu
Diddy

Mid tier:
Kirby

Samus (I don't know jack about Zero Suit Samus. Sorry.)

I hope that really wasnt too stupid of one. I just kinda made one off the top of my head.

I dont think Diddy would be bottom tier lol. Judging from his preformance at E for all when someone actually knew what they were doing, no way.

Other than that it looks fine, but will Ike's speed lower him from mid to low? We have yet to find out.

Ehem, I believe the real question is will Ike's speed boost him from Bottom tier to Low tier?

Reports say Ike is tweaked. He's supposedly not excessively slow anymore. I don't think that means anything for his horrible recovery though, so he's still probably not that good, but hopefully he's at least reasonably playable since he should be able to hold his own ground getting low% kills.

I find it funny that the original poster's top three hopefuls are almost identical to mine. In fact, they probably ARE identical if Yoshi and Pikachu are in the top *5*
