Just out of interest, what are your top 5 brawl pros and cons, based on everything we know about the game so far?

I would have to say...

Pros

1.Wifi Connection - theres always someone to play, the game, theoretically, can never end
2.Stage Builder - one-player brawls now have no stage limitations, you can just make a new one
3.Sonic's inclusion - best newcomer so far IMO (as long as his crappy new voice isnt used too much)
4.Four Controller Modes - now no-one can complain about complicated controls, anyone can choose their way to play
5.The fact that you can now assign any song to any stage (i think), if you dont like a song, just replace it

Cons

1.Pokemon Trainer - waste of a character space, i couldnt believe it when it was confirmed, never should have even crossed Sakurai's mind to put him in the game
2.Lucas - pretty much the same as Ness, may as well have kept Ness in as hes one of the original 12 from SSB64. Ness' inclusion would please far more people than Lucas' inclusion ever could
3.Only 5 Target Test stages - should have kept it as it was, 1 for each character, Target Test will now get boring much quicker
4.Pictochat - just seems like a pretty poor stage, although i dont really know exactly how it will run yet
5.Mario's Final Smash - this doesnt actually bother me too much, i just cant think of anything else. It could be better though, something more, you know, Mario related

And also, if Sonic's stage turns out to be anything other than a retro-style Green Hill zone (with the retro music too), then thats going straight to the top of my cons list.

Half of those cons were opinions.......

Pros.
1. New game.
2.New Characters
3.Create a stage
4.Dark costumes
5.Subspace emmissay

those are my pros.

Theres only afew coms I can think of.

1. Its not melee. We all have to get used to a new physics engine.
2. The target test thing is pretty bad. hopefully you can make your own. just to do for fun. this is sorta a pro because this means the unlock system is diffrent.

Actually, I don't think Pokemon Trainer is a waste of space. His attributes give a new feel of gameplay then the old smash games, with the stamina and switching between 3 types of pokemon.

Most of those were not facts, just opinions.

for cons I would have
1. poor online mode
2. Only 5 target tests
3. Some broken things(spicy curry, bowsers FS)
5. some characters may be much worse or better than the others (ike, metaknight)

The pros I agree with except for sonic. its cool that hes in but it shouldn't have been in the top five. I would put the subspace emissary in its place.

I think the concept of a pro/con list before the game even comes out is hilarious, you tend to have more opinions than facts.

PT is the BEST addition. I'm not saying this because I have a bias towards Pokemon (grew up with it), but it's because he is so **** unique.

There are 5 THEMES for Target Test. Doesn't mean 5 stages for each character, it doesn't mean 5 stages in total. 5 themes.

pros:

- Wifi
- new characters
- longer single player
- new stages
- stagebuilder

cons:

- the delay
- play with anyone looks like it won't be very customizable
- seeming lack of advanced techniques (too early to tell though)
- too much focus on pokemon
- lack of new character announcements lately (not really game related, but I couldn't think of another con)

We all know what's good, so I'll just give you what's not so good.

Cons:

1. No Alt. Costumes.

2. No voice chat among friends on wifi

3. No ranking system on wifi (I don't care about leader boards or records or anything, I just want to play with someone of the same skill level)

4. Possibly no way to play 1v1 on "with anyone"

5. Disappointing Final Smashes (Fox, PT, Diddy, etc...)

6. "Time" is still the default (seemingly). I know it's not a big deal at all, but it just kind of bugs me.

pros:

- Wifi
- new characters
- longer single player
- new stages
- stagebuilder

cons:

- the delay "We might hate it, bu it'll only improve the game"
- play with anyone looks like it won't be very customizable "AGREED"
- seeming lack of advanced techniques (too early to tell though) "Good"
- too much focus on pokemon "Pokemon is just getting a lot of attention on the Dojo, they'll balance representation of series by the time the game is released"
- lack of new character announcements lately (not really game related, but I couldn't think of another con) "Lol, I like character announcements too! Just wait 'till Saturday and hope Coro Coro reveals something!"

I hope Coro coro releases some NEW info.

Pros:
1. Alt. Costumes.--There's so many good ones! (Samus' suits are crazy awesome, and Link's Dark Link)

2. No voice chat on WiFi--I would really hate to be bothered with people, friends or otherwise, talking and commenting while I'm trying to fight them! I focus on the game, not the player.

3. No ranking system on WiFi--I really can't stand rankings in games. They're always so bias, and people disconnect to avoid losses, and all kinds of bad things result from them.

Cons:
I only hope that Zamus will be a character from the select screen.

Pros: Everything that isn't a con.

Cons: Laggy wi-fi when playing against someone on the other side of the world (I was expecting this)
Idiots like the people in this thread will be buying it. (Not all of you. Just some of you.)

Con -
That some of you are already whining and whining before even playing the game... which is sad.

Pros:
1) Sonic! - The dream battle of the blue blur vs the man in red can finally commence. His announcement brought Brawl up from "must-have" to "if I only buy one game for the rest of my life" status for me.
2) Subspace Emissary - Finally, a good 1-player story mode!
3) Final Smashes - Flashy new moves that can turn the tide of a battle all by themselves? Sounds good to me!
4) Other new characters - Great to finally see guys like Diddy Kong and Pit getting in (seriously, Diddy's absence from Melee was a travesty). I have every confidence that the final roster will be wonderful.
5) Stage Builder - Should be self-explanatory.
6) Wifi - Not particularly exciting for me, but at least its a way to fight someone other than computers without having to get others to come over/go off to others' homes/attend tournaments, so I felt it was worth mentioning.

Cons:
1) Removal of some characters - There are 3 or 4 I'll be happy to see go (Doc, Pichu, Y Link, perhaps Roy), but anyone beyond them who leaves will sadden me.
2) Delay.

3-5) Nothing I can think of. There are a couple of characters I dislike (PT, Zero Suit Samus), and a few final smashes I feel could have been better (Mario, Link, Ike), but those are hardly a bad thing, just aspects of the game that could have been better.

. . . Nope. Don't see the irony. If you're implying that I'm an idiot, please point to your source of evidence.
Well, you didn't put any punctuation after the first sentence of your Cons section. I believe that is taught at the first grade level.
