Hey there, all of you anxiously awaited Brawl, my name's Youko. If you all have any interest in my Smash background or any of that stuff, you can read my intro on the Meet and Greet forums HERE so i can stop this pseudo-intro.

The main purpose of this thread here is that I am proposing to create a weekly podcast solely for us Brawl fans. With the SmashCast (covering the forums as a whole) seeming to fade away though, unfortunately, I am very willing to pull together a podcast to be aired on weekends to give us something to look forward to, since the website doesn't get updated then.

The main idea I have for the podcast is a "DOJO!! Podcast," and would recap and review the past week's posts on the DOJO website and discuss other pertinent topics from the week. If for nothing else, I'd like to document in an audio format the hype that this game is creating for the future, because the daily creator blogs are generally unheard of for games of this magnitude. In addition, once the game is released, we can look back as a community to what it was like before the release of the sure-to-be-amazing game.

Of course, my intent is not to have it be a droll of news, but to give it a "radio-show-esque" feel, I suppose. In the future, this would possibly involve guests, debating topics, and even maybe small contests. Anything is possible, and I am willing to take any suggestions you may have.

As for my legitimacy, I'm approaching this as an average Smasher, giving logical, thought-through, and legitimate statements. My intent is not to sound superior in any way, but to open things up in an audio forum of sorts to be discussed.

I'm trying to do this for the community, so I would appreciate any feedback whatsoever. Suggestions? Ideas of what would make this special? Please have a say in this, as we are truly the most patient members here on SWF!

EDIT: Plans temporarily put on hold, until it is seen whether or not the SmashCast can get up and running again. Input still appreciated.

Discuss and enjoy! :)

What experience do you have podcasting? We're looking to get the smashcast going on a regular basis, especially now that we have regular material, and we need another body or two to get it going.

So, have you done what you're describing before?

That would be pretty cool but kinda pointless, unless you're really lazy and rather someone else check the website for you.

Then tell you all the discussion around them.

@ Scav

If intentions are to get the SmashCast up and running again, than I have no problem working with behind the scenes and such. I am completely flexible. To me, it just seemed that after a couple months of it being down, even about a month after the debut of the website updates, that hope was somewhat given up on the project.

I probably wouldn't be that much help providing any real input as a guest, at least to start, of course if you and KirbyKing decide to still do the talking and such. I'm not as much of an impromptu person, which everything seemed to be aside from general topics, and I'd rather plan everything out, etc.

However, I'm planning on eventually studying Sound Engineering at the School of Music at U-M, so I have a few years of experience with recording and editing my own music, so putting together a podcast would be no problem. I've worked with Pro Tools, Audacity, and the like, and I also in essence have my own personal sound studio. The part that's beyond my knowledge is actually putting the .mp3s in a podcasting format to be put up on iTunes, etc. But the actual editing and whatever is no problem.

Again, I'm flexible. Just let me know what you need.
