When I played Skyward Sword last night it forced me to do a system update, and my ISO program to load brawl stopped working and then the wii said all my system files are corrupted. Scared the **** out of me, but luckily I fixed it without any harm done.

When I played Skyward Sword last night it forced me to do a system update, and my ISO program to load brawl stopped working and then the wii said all my system files are corrupted. Scared the **** out of me, but luckily I fixed it without any harm done.

Do you use homebrew and gecko for your backloading? Or something along those lines? If so, Skyward Sword will always force a system update. You need to get priiloader to edit and disable system updates on discs like SS otherwise it'll render the game unplayable. Shoulda told you that earlier.. I didn't think about it. Forgot you had to use a loader for brawl.

That'd do it, too. Any unauthorized content you put on your wii will be detected by the system update, and possibly cause a brick or other damage. Like I said, priiloader is something you can get to disable it and keep your wii safe.

We'll see, I don't think it will update again. I formatted my wii a few months ago when I messed something up pretty bad, and that may have caused it to downgrade. If I already have the current update I don't think it will ask me again.
