Brawl+ intro packet

Ok, so, I have compiled a bunch of info on things in Brawl+ that people new to it might want to know.

Its a whopping 41 pages containing the entire Brawl+ FAQ and all the changes that are currently on Brawl+.net. It also has a buffer tutorial.

Please take a copy of this to any tourney you may go to and put it next to the Brawl+ setup that is there.

This took me a good hour and a half to compile and format, but it still has only two pictures! This is where you guys come in! I welcome you to add stuff, pretty stuff up, and just generally make this better! This can be an ongoing project. I already know that not all of the character changes are on there, and a picture for each character would be nice.

Also if someone were to make a compact short version of it that acted more like a brochure that would be good too.

thank god for this. I hope this minimizes the amount of "WHY CANT I DO BLAH BLAH BLAH" and stuff. :)

Well, I saw it, and wow, this is horribly formatted. Did you just copy/paste stuff out of the FAQ? O.o
If you want I'll take over and make it all prettyish. I've done a really short version of this before.

Edit: I'll have a better version soon. Maybe tonight.

Pretty much I copy pasted and stuff, and then I changed the size of text and centered Character names and such. Then I tried to make it so that things were even on pages. There's not much else I could do. I was using word so maybe it looks different on your word processor?

EDIT: I just realized that when I changed the margins I messed up all my formatting DX sorry about that, and thanks for fixing it up

I know it's a lot, and Its actually longer than that now that I rereformatted it DX.

Its meant to only be a single packet that people can look at, not something you pass out to everyone.

And I fixed it up a bit btw dabridge, you might want to use that version and save yourself some work

Yeah I had to get the stuff from the official site, so that's one of the main things that I'd like others to update, the character changes are outdated right now.

Personally I made 2 packets with it: The FAQ and a big "Changes" one.

Darn, must be because the picture isn't showing... I wonder why. Well I'll include the picture along with the document and see if that fixes it, hopefully. It's probably because I'm using Open Office since I don't have Microsoft Word. :ohwell:

As for how many versions of this packet will be:

Complete - Everything you need to know about Brawl+, except character changes.
Tournament - Small version of the complete packet, mainly with stuff that torney people wont find useful at all removed (vocabulary, spreading the word, codes, homebrew channel, etc.)
Character Changes - The most up-to-date character changes for each character, as well as a short intro for the character to have a feel how it's going to play on Brawl+.

Thats pretty much what I was thinking, but I would add one

Brochure: Small enough to be handed out to multiple people, stressing things that new people should know but doesn't go into any specifics.

That's actually what I thought the Tourney version should be like. Eh, then it'll be like that, complete, brochure, and character specific.

The guide itself is coming out good. I'll probably have it done soon.

What we need is to get all the new character changes, because the ones in there are a month or two old.

I haven't checked out the one you made quite yet dabridge, I'll look at it later.

But I brought the stuff I made to a tourney yesterday and it was GREAT. I must have gotten ten people to say that they are going to get Brawl+ when they get home.

Lets try and keep this thread active enough to stay near the front page.

Alright, I started on the Character Specific Packet. An actual artist might be needed for the brochure though.

Just read the packet, It looks GREAT, just one problem; one of the titles is on the previous page from the subject it's on. And another one only has a sentence on the same page. I could fix this for you myself If I need too.

I never finished the character specific because the changes are outdated on your packet, matt (which is the one I'm using to make my own) I'll upload a template if you want, so you get the idea.
