I started up Brawl yesterday for the first time since December when a long-distance friend of mine visited me. It was evident before that I fail at this game, and it was still evident then. By extension, it also applies now.

So... in an attempt to at least refamiliarize myself with the controls, I played roughly 2 matches or so with the comp before finding Sound Test again, and I just left it at that while I browsed Smashboards.

I swear this is way too familiar... oh wait.

My LAST attempt at playing this game for any length of time ended this way as well.

It seriously frustrates me to no end that no matter how much time I take away from the game, there's just NOTHING that can drag me back to it enough to do myself and the rest of the world a favor and IMPROVE.

Play Paper Mario.
*is tempted... VERY tempted*

Seriously, though, I would, but the prospect of Dry Dry Desert kills any excitement I might have for it. Ugh. That stretch of the game seems to draaaaaaag for me.

On a side note, I turned on Brawl yesterday, put it on Sound Test for awhile, changed tracks a few times, and then realized even THAT became grating on my nerves.

BTW, for those of you wondering why on EARTH I would be playing the game with this kind of feeling towards it: my skill standing in Brawl may be the only thing that keeps my friends around/gets me a new one.
