Boxing Ring The picture I took of Boxing Ring has a really weird "when you see it" visual oddity going on. Take a look at the image below and see if you can figure it out.

The boxing ring is missing the set of ropes closest to the camera. This makes sense from a gameplay perspective to ensure the fighters can be seen, but in a real boxing ring it would be hilariously obvious.

Layout
Boxing Ring is Little Mac's home arena, so it should surprise absolutely no one that it's a walkoff. The boxing ring in the middle of the stage is raised from the floor, forming walls. A large light fixture overhead serves as a standard platform. The ropes around the arena are solid from the side but springy from above, propelling players up like the Spring item at the perfect height to reach the lights. There is a small amount of standing room on the outer edge of the ropes where players can find footing.

Players 1 and 2 start inside the boxing ring while Players 3 and 4 start outside it. The Omega form has walled sides.

Boxing Ring has a single stage hazard, the light fixture.

Lights Out
The light fixture overhead is unusually high. Only exceptional jumpers such as Jigglypuff can reach it without having to resort to special moves. Some characters, like Luigi, have a special move at their disposal that helps them reach it without going into helpless afterward. The majority of the cast, however, must use their up special or bounce on the ropes. The absolute losers in this circumstance are Little Mac and Dr. Mario, who are completely incapable of reaching the lights from the ground and must use the ropes every time, although custom moves can give them the extra bit of height necessary.

The light fixture has approximately 125 HP. When destroyed, the lights on it go out and it falls a second later, doing 12% damage to anyone it lands on; players standing on top of the lights are safe. The knockback is mostly vertical and kills Mario off the top at 100%. The lights cannot be shielded but can be spotdodged, countered, etc. A new set of lights descends a few seconds later after the fallen set lands and fades away.

The Boxing Ring. What you see is what you get, the lights are the only dynamic feature. The game lets you zoom out unusually far when paused for some reason.

Summary
  • Walkoff on both sides.
  • Ropes bounce players up when landed on.
  • Lights have approximately 125 HP.
  • Lights do 12% damage when falling, kill Mario at 100%.
  • Lights respawn a few seconds after falling.

It's completely missing a set of ropes. This makes sense from a gameplay perspective to ensure that you can see the fighters, but would look hilariously wrong in a real boxing ring.

EDIT: Piford beat me to it. I'll throw the solution up in the OP too, because why not.

The front ropes apparently fade in and out during the battle, like the front of Luigi's Mansion or Tomodachi Life.
