Event details/rules:
This will be VGS's 3rd SSBM tournament. The setup is basically the same as last time (except we have 3 more hours), but before we get to that, the ground rules:-This tournament is for fun. It is an event primarily aimed at the BU community, however we happily accept people from all over. While the level of competition may vary, the overall point to keep in mind is that this is a tournament for people of any skill level to come and have good clean competition. ANY inappropriate, rude, overly aggresive, or just mean behavior will be met with a swift removal from the competition. Anyone who does not play nice will be kicked out of the tournament, and if they continue to cause problems, BUPD will help them find their way home. I hope it doesn't come to that but it is best everyone understands the ground rules.

-All registration will be done online (ie. here). Some of you may recall we did registration at the door last year, this will not be the case this year. While we will have maybe 5 at-the-door registration spots, it is more then likely you will not get them, so please just fill out this online form.

-Entry fee. This tournament, like last time will not be to raise money for a charity. However we will be offering cash/other prizes to the winners. (1st 2nd 3rd, as well as a raffle prize). To provide such nice things there will be a $5 entry fee. This amount is to be paid at the door. If you don't pay you don't play. We really encourage you register in advance via the website, and then pay to finalize your entry before you can play. As an added bonus, everyone who shows up an pays will be entered in a raffle for some phat loot!!

-Refunds. There will be no refunds once you have paid and entered the tournament room.

-Lateness: Don't be late, we will try to start as clos to 2 as possible, but right now the cut off is 2:30pm, after that we start.

-Other Crap: I reserve the right to change any of this at any time up until the day of the tournament (and maybe even thereafter, within reason). So check back often! Changes will be posted on the forum.

Ok now that we got all that out of the way, time for the tournament setup:
-Limits: 3 Stock 6minute time limit matches, best of three. If a tie occurs, players will do same level 1 stock until a winner is decided. Final match will be on big screen projector.
-Character: You are NOT required to stay with the character you specify at the beginning of the tournament. In the 3 rounds, the players will take turns chosing character 1st
-Stages: Random out of: Final Destination, Battlefield, Dreamland 64, Pokemon Stadium. The only acception to this is if BOTH players agree too play Poke-floats rather then random ^_^ (best r00l ev0r! bwahahaha).
-Items: NO ITEMS. (rofl)
-Controllers: VGS Will be providing controllers, but you are welcome to bring your own. Taking our controllers home is strictly prohibited (although it happend last time >.<), and we will have club members watching you.
-Setup: We will have a projector on which we will post the matchups, after your game is done, both players must report the result to the person at the front near the projector and the next matchups will be projected.
-*****ing: *****ing, about anything, is strictly prohibited.

feel free to post any questions/concerns/flames here or in our facebook group or on our website: http://vgs.theswede.net
