that would be cool if you dropped a bomb and used the boomerang to push it into your enemies, but otherwise bomb dropping is pretty useless

I would have to master the Boomeranged Bomb just to make my friends more afraid of spam! Seriously, that is made of pure win. That is almost as good as if the Gale Boomerang would pull enemies into the sides of levels and spike them away while they are trying to recover.

the gale force boomerange pulls enemies back on return right? it doesn't actually push people, other than the knockback of the boomerang itself.

and bomb dropping is actually a helpful technique.

I could see link throwing the boomerang, then tossing a bomb up into the air. then rolling backwards (or jumping) to put the opponant between link the boomerang and below the bomb.
the opponent won't want to jump, because of the bomb, and won't want to retreat because of the boomerang.

then you can simply delay them as the gale force pulls the bomb into them from behind.

just one of many possible situations. sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't.

I can see it now.

1)Knock opponent off stage.
2)Throw boomerang in the wrong direction.
3)wait...wait...Now!
4)Edgehog so the boomerang misses you and catches your enemy dragging them dowm to the depths below.

Everyone must've come up with it by now.

I love bomb dropping in melee, I hope it is as useful in brawl. Great for getting back to the edge with an air dodge+bomb drop or dropping with an enemy under you if they are to close for a down throw because of slow animation, or good for getting someone on the offense rushing you off balance quickly while hopping away, I even use bomb dropping (planting) on the ground or platforms and set them there, in the time of my enemies just being KOed and respawning. You can stay by it and throw stuff at them and evade till their invincibly wears off. Sometimes they will pick up your planted bomb and you can throw more stuff at them while they try to get rid of the bomb before it explodes. I use it for bomb planting and sliding bombs off platforms at enemies too for wow factor mindgames and sometimes damage. All sorts of uses. ^^

Anyone know if bomb jumping is still in brawl with Link? :p

I hope so. Bomb dropping is great for if you are in a pinch. It's also good for forcing someone to move without any animation.

I hope so. It is great for stopping combos because it does not require any animation. Also, this is a little off topic but how do you bomb drop a bomb without it exploding? And how do you down spike with young link? Sorry it's off topic but I did not want to make an entire thread about it.

It is pretty easy to plant bombs once you get the timing down. I'll explain Bomb Planting on platforms first because it is easier and more useful imo. First, you might want to start on a stage with good platforms like Dreamland 64, Yoshi Story, or Battlefield to get the hang of it. Then once you start, make Link pull out a fresh bomb and jump from the stage threw a platform and hit Z while you are going threw the platform in the middle of your jump where the bomb is on the platform without being to high above it but not being below it either. This will allow you to plant a bomb on the platform if you timed it correctly. Now bombplanting anywhere or where you are standing it's pretty easy too. Just pull out a fresh bomb then short hop and just as Link is about to hit the ground hit Z with perfect timing and you will plant the bomb right in front of you.

On the second question about Young Link, I don't quite understand what you mean by "down spike". If you mean his meteor then I think it is the same as Links only meteor which is his well placed down tilt against someone hanging on a ledge. Idk offhand since I don't main Young Link. I know his down smash has a kind of spike knockback to it if that's what you mean.

Thanks for answering my bomb dropping question.:) When I say "down spike" I mean when Y. Link does his dair and your opponent goes down in flames. Do you know how to do it or is it just random?

To do Young Link's flaming meteor your opponent has to be above you. When you use your d-air if your opponent touches anywhere in the hitbox above, let's say, Young Link's shoulders then it will be successful. Meteor force is on par with Ganon's Stomp (strongest).

That one is probably something similiar to Luigis up B I think, I've tried it a couple of times with my friends and it seems to be like Luguis Up B or Jigglypuffs Down B.
A real tricky thing to do but useful if working xD

Mixing the bomb and boomerang is always a good tactic i use it often i hope the gale boomerang makes it better.

Okay, this is what you do.

Drop a bomb and then throw your boomerang the in the opposite direction of your enemy. Dodge the returning boomerang and let it pick up the bomb and continue toward the enemy!

You've created a boomerang tornoado bomb of doom!
