I mean, the scene lasted just long enough to set the mood (and set up for some certain events that would occur later in the episode...and after it ended, too) so it was probably for the best that it was made short.

The thought of him singing a full musical number is still a glorious pipe-dream though.

Did like what I saw, though.

I would personally recommend try watching it from the first few episodes (preferably in order, as the show has an on-going storyline), although unfortunately the episode you watched had a major detail in it that would be a huge spoiler to anyone who wasn't already following it. Kinda makes one of the show's' biggest reveals less satisfactory.

Even still, it isn't enough to ruin the show entirely, far from it. There are a lot of things I think you would find enjoyable from the show, especially if you liked the one episode you've seen already.

Uh huh. It's a reference to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, where Luigi dresses up as Peach in order to trick the main villain into thinking that she got the princess.

This episode also reminded me of how Dipper lost his brown hat and exchanged it for the blue and white one with the pine tree, and it was also the first episode when Stan snuck into the basement through the vending machine secret door. And also....this is when Mable got the legendary grappling hook. This episode reminded me that the show has so many great bookends, and the situations the characters get into is fantastic! The wax museum (S1E3) is the next one in my GF fav episode rewatch series, so that'll probably happen soon.
