I'm glad I liked it too. I expected to enjoy it, but not enjoy it THAT much. Color me pleasantly surprised.

To be honest, why is there even an argument in the first place?
Maybe it's just me (and I have stated my opinions a lot on the matter), but it doesn't matter. Link as a whole is a fictional character. At worst a vessel or a concept for the player to utilize to use a sword or solve a puzzle.

Whether he "will" or "won't" doesn't really matter in the long run. Because at the end of the day nothing changes. He's some elf man with a sword, and will continue to remain being an elf man with a sword.

The word you're looking for is "Hylian." Don't get him mixed up with Legolas, an elf who has no sword but is also known for wielding a bow. :p
