61?

If that was me playing Ike I probably would've eventually given up trying to recover and just go for an SD. lol

Here's the rule: Against gym leaders, the number of Pokemon they have on their team is the maximum number of Pokemon you can have on your team when you fight them. So if they have 3 Pokemon, you'll use 3 Pokemon of your choice in the fight and box any other Pokemon you may have on your team.
I was thinking this could make gym fights a bit more interesting but I'm already making this game hard enough as is by simply playing it on Challenge Mode so this might be pushing the difficulty a bit higher than what I can handle. I'm still deciding whether or not I want this rule to even be a thing, I need to know my limits (incoming "limits are meant to be broken" joke in 3... 2... 1).

Ah, that one....yeah, that's one of the few I'm considering as well.

If you do go through with it, good luck. Trainer levels being higher would certainly make that rule and the run as a whole a lot more dangerous. I noticed that the rule can also be applied to Rival battles if one so wishes.

Would've been faster that way
If my damage ended up getting built that high after several failed attempts to recover there wouldn't be much of a point in trying to keep it up. The high damage percentage would put me at a high risk of getting KO'd at that point anyhow. Better to get it over with than continue to fail repeatedly.

LOL I'd probably do the same thing

I mean, I'm going to have the battle style on Set as well as a level limit, limited item usage, and limited times Dupes Clause can be triggered (though I am setting the number higher this time to 5 instead of 3). All that plus higher levels, improved movesets, and gym leaders and the Elite Four get a new Pokemon added to their teams and the Elite Four even give their Pokemon hold items. This is already going to be hard and I'm not sure if I want to crank it up any further.

......Yeesh. That's a lot more rules than I initially thought you'd be doing. That does sound rather like Hell. Definitely not something I'd personally attempt alongside so many other rules and extra difficulties, although to be fair I'm nowhere nearly as experienced with Pokemon as you and several other people here are.

Whatever choice you decide to go with on this rule, I wish you good luck.

Hooray! I love high-fives!

Reminder that I gotta catch up with Soul Eater.

...you know what? Maybe I'll start doing that tomorrow. I've waited long enough to even attempt to watch any show on my long backlog (except for Steven Universe).

It would only be hell if I wasn't using healing items, not being able to use healing items would pretty much require me to think farther ahead in advance and be super careful. I wanted to crank up the difficulty since I thought the FireRed run, while fun, went a little too smoothly. I stopped having deaths after the S.S. Anne (2 badges in) and it wasn't until the Pokemon League when deaths started to crop back up. This will definitely provide a greater challenge than before especially considering that I'm doing the only Pokemon game that has a difficulty setting. Oh, and there's a lot of Pokemon you can find in B2/W2 so it'll also be interesting in what I get.

Well, you've no doubt done a good job of making the Nuzlocke a heck lot more difficult and dangerous so far. I'm looking forward to it!

Black 2 does have some stuff that should help ease my run a tad. For one, this is the generation where Audino was introduced, a Pokemon that gives a lot of experience and you even get a Lucky Egg which boosts the amount of experience you get later in the game. Grinding will be easy and the variety of Pokemon you can get including Riolu, Eevee, and Roselia can make for some great teams if you're lucky with the encounters. Still doesn't change how brutal it's going to be.
