I'm sorry.....I really wish there was something I could do about the lag.

If the matches put you in a bad mood, either take a break or try seeing if you have better luck With Anyone...
What the most awful part is that if I would've faced my friends at college, I wouldn't have done as bad (at least I hope). Sure, I made mistakes with recovering with Mario (until I started using N-air against Shulk), or doing my best to mix-up Fox's semi-linear recovery, but I still think I could've done better if lag didn't mess me up.

But here's the worst part: I try to get around it, but try as I might I can't. I push myself to be more careful, but when lag sets in, I become anxious and I make more mistakes. When that happens, I screw up. If I can't deal with lag online, then am I really a decent player like I think I am?

....to be honest, no. Adapting is important, and I can do that with certain strategies my opponent uses. But, when lag set in, my mind and fingers went haywire.

I'm not a good player, and I'm not even a decent player- I frickin' suck, and I hate being so naive as to think the lag would get better, because OF COURSE it didn't.

....Let's face it. I will never be as good as you, or AoL, or anyone else on here that I may play in the future.

It won't work!:(

It says: The contents of the uploaded file do not match the file's something. I don't remember what the last part was.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

Bet and you'll find out.

-twisted laughter of twistedness-
....have you met me? :p

Dude, you're being WAY too hard on yourself over online lag.

Yeah, some people can adapt to it, but in the end, lag, especially depending on how bad it is, will screw everyone up to some degree. Nobody likes to have to put up with it Yes, it can screw with your game online, but it doesn't directly impede your ability to improve.

Don't tell yourself you're bad. You're not. You're good, and yes, there is still much room for improvement, but there always will be room for improvement, for every player of any skill level. Don't let some bad online matches discourage you from wanting to get better.

If you have found enjoyment out of this game at all, then again, don't let lag ruin that. If you enjoyed playing the game, then keep playing it. If you want to get better, then keeping playing, because you will. And don't try and convince yourself there's no possibility of that happening otherwise.

I find it kind of disrespectful and inconsiderate when someone has to vent their frustration towards another person just seeking some fun. It can even be hurtful towards some people. Sometimes it's best to not say anything but gg.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
And it's true, I can get far too hard on myself with my smash gameplay sometimes.

I'm sorry if I ruined your fun today, too.

I mean, I didn't mean to be disrespectful when venting to KingofPhantoms KingofPhantoms if that's what you're talking about. I never intended to be disrespectful at all or anything. I unfortunately let my frustration get the better of me, and I never intended to be aggressive or disrespectful, or anything like that.

Will you forgive me?:nervous:

Your quite welcome!

And it's fine, you didn't ruin my fun. I mean, I was looking forward to more matches with you, but I wasn't seriously upset by it.

I understand what Metalbro was getting at, but in this particular case, don't worry about it. I wasn't personally bothered by anything you said or the way you vented it all out. We're cool. :)
