While I was tasked to find a Geodude as part of a test to become the Owner of the Safari Zone, I ran into a at the Peak Area.

It was tough, but I managed to catch it, nicknaming it "Magneto."

In the Safari Zone's Wasteland Area, a wild approached me.

I tried to coax it to stay by throwing bait at it, but one Safari Ball later, the Onix caught on to what I was doing and dug a hole into the ground, running away.

Shame, since Onix is one of my favorites... Would have been cool to own one.

I received an Old Rod in Dewford Town (I almost forgot to get that!). With it, I caught a Magikarp and named him Golden. At first, he was much weaker than the rest of the team, but with the others' help, he was able to reach his full potential. Now Golden is a Gyarados.

I threw mud at it to make it easier to catch, but it didn't make a difference. It broke out twice with no shakes before fleeing.

Olivine Gym's Jasmine is a Steel-type user.

Since Hellraiser didn't really get a lot of action lately, I made him the star of the Gym Battle, and it was a breeze.

Not even Jasmine's mighty Steelix could withstand Hellraiser's Fire-type attacks.

A lot happened here as you are currently seeing. On Route 9, I found not only a Rattata but also a Rare Candy which I used on KoP to evolve him into a Dugtrio. Then on Route 10, I was greeted by an Ekans whom now relaxes in the confines of a Poke Ball, I also got an Everstone from one of Professor Oak's Aides. Soon, I ventured into Rock Tunnel aka Ballad of the FalKoopa where I found a Geodude and tons of Razor Leaf fodder. I'm now in Lavender Town making my preparations. I'll grab Flyer out of the PC and once/if I catch a particular Pokemon on an upcoming route, Plop will be retiring simply because he will fall behind which in turn will lead to death.
