You were right though. It'd be nice if crits weren't so random. Some restrictions would be good.

The Crit system itself isn't broken it's just they pop up on every major moment and can define a game.. if they keep it more strategy based then they can have a game that has an even better odds Meta-game.. especially if they grant more access to moves like Haze onto more viable pokemon or clear smog then Defense buffed pokemon won't rule the Meta as much as they could. I like that they go through buffed up stats but the randomness and the fact that they can happen at anytime, and at any critical moment is unfair and broken..
