You most likely didn't, but within context seeing I actually did that once when there was literally no hope for me (last life, over 100% damage, and just taken one of two stocks from Cloud), it seemed funny to me.

The only comeback possible in that scenario would have been you royally screwing up.
And this was at the point where I could at most just barely get close to winning on better circumstances (i.e. both on last stock on roughly equal footing).

No, that was me being logical.

If I could barely get close on more equal footing (not much damage taken after we're both on our last stocks), what chance would I have if one clean hit would be all it would take to finish me off while you're freshly respawned?

I may admittedly have low self-esteem, but even you have to admit the match was as good as done at that point.
