Yeah, pretty much all of the dolls look really similar.
I should mention though that there are a few good plushes. Like the Twilight plush I bought was made by 4DE and it looks pretty accurate:

Much of these figures could be any original random pony a little kid could get just because they want one, and because of promotional (and money) reasons they seem to just see it fit to slap a major character's name on it.

There are a few too many points where the design is just straight-up lazy.....even the toys from Hasbro themselves don't look all that much like the actual characters, but eh, at least they usually put more effort and actual thought into those, as far as I know.

Some of the best plushies out there are actually fanmade ones.

Makes sense. They aren't manufactured on a regular basis or anything like that, and it's not uncommon among the people who make them to only make them once, or at least not much after the first one. It's a lot of hefty work to do.

I can already see it;

At the end of the November Direct, Corrin's trailer would have been shown the same way as Cloud's did (without the Smash logo at the start), making it seem like a Fates trailer, but then BOOM! Corrin confirmed!

Next month, the final presentation would've started with Cloud, which we all know would cause everyone to explode with hype...​

No, in that scenario, Cloud would've had Corrin's release date and vice versa to keep the hype at its highest since...people leaked the patch a few hours before the presentaion.

I don't think a third season would've absolutely killed it that easily, but eh, it was a decision not far from the very start to make it a two-season story. I can respect that.

Once I'm free for the rest of the year (which will be tomorrow), I'll play catch up and watch the episodes I still haven't watched. I'm not even halfway through S1, but if I was able to catch up with a show that had 104 episodes at the time I started watching, I can easily catch up with GF before the end of the year.
