Some people accused Starbucks for hating 'Jesus' by removing the traditional Christmas patterns that their past holiday cups had. Starbucks just said that they changed it to plain red instead so people can write messages on them. That's some insight on the whole controversy anyways but it really is stupid.

Here's an article AEKen. And it's sad, really. Listen closely here: I'm a Christian myself and I'm not offended at all. People need to learn that it's just a cup and Starbucks isn't trying to wage a "war" on anybody. There are too many offended people nowadays, I swear... *sighs* politics really sucks.

I just find it hilariously petty. Like, it's a freaking cup. You use it for a minute at most and than throw it away. Even the Christians in my family find this stupid.
