It's about Squid Girl, a squid/girl humanoid who plans to take over humanity for their crimes to the sea. She fails miserably and it's pretty much a comedy like Sgrt Kero/Frog.

Also I have to recommend Black Bullet. It's by no means one of the best anime out there, but it's an enjoyable one.

I've actually seen a few episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho but it's been years, so maybe I'll try to watch the rest of it.
