I just love to be involved in an experience, be it book, game, music, or movie.
Nothing can can compare to being mentally swept away, and for just a moment, you're somewhere else, or even someone else, living an experience beyond your everyday life. That's why I love immersion. I think people don't understand what I mean when I say I love immersion, or they laugh to themselves. Well, that's what I'm talking about. And for me, it's no laughing matter. For me, it's the best thing experience in the world.

I totally know what you mean. I get immersed in many of the games I love, as an example, especially ones that I'm playing through for the first time.

After I finish and get familiar with it though, it's hard for it to feel exactly the same. The experience of finding something new to enjoy is never quite the same after the first time.

But jokes aside, I totally agree with Jay. There's simply something...indescribable about picturing yourself in a completely different world, as a completely different person. It's... it's amazing.
