The levels, the music, almost everything in the first Galaxy is beautiful.

SMG2 got all that down pretty good too.....but unlike the first game the story wasn't anything special. At least, not when compared to the beauty of Rosalina's storybook.

Galaxy 2 is by far one of my favorite games. Galaxy 1 is also just as amazing.

Oh yeah! SMG blew my mind the first time I played through.

The level design is unlike any other game (even SMG 2 couldn't top that, imo), the music has some of the most beautiful songs Nintendo ever made and those boss battles are simply amazing. Rosalina's story was a completely unnecessary, but still incredible addition to the game and the Observatory is much better than Starship Mario, imo.

Everything about the first game was, and will always be perfect.

Galaxy > Galaxy 2 in anything but music and gameplay (because Yoshi)

The only way I'd want a Galaxy 3 is if it could bring a heck lot of new stuff to it's gameplay, and perhaps another beautiful story like that of the first one.

I know that might be asking a bit much because Mario isn't one of those games that anyone plays for the story (most people play games for the gameplay, but hey, a lot of games need a good story to be fully enjoyable) but that's just it. Super Mario Galaxy had something that pretty much no other Mario game has, and it really came as a surprise to me.

The entire soundtrack of both games was amazing. I like almost every song on there!

My favorite tracks would probably be Buoy Base Galaxy, Space Storm Galaxy, and the Bowser Boss Battle Theme from Galaxy 1.

You could put Rosalina's story and the Observatory into an entirely different game or make it it's own thing, but in the world of Mario, the charm of the Lumas and Rosalina somehow fits in just perfectly, as does her sad but beautiful backstory.

It's a shame it had to be played with such a let down of a final battle.

I KNOW. That annoyed me so much, it took me seconds to beat him... Probably the worst final boss in Mario history, if I had to pick one.
