No. I've met plenty of people who like watching MLP but do not consider themselves to be a brony, nor are they involved with the fandom. It's the same as liking and watching any other TV show but not to the point of wanting heavy involvement with it.

Whether one considers themselves a "brony" or not is completely up to them. It's their own choice.
