Yes, White is every color in the visible light spectrum, which can then be broken up into more sub colors, but black is the absence of visible(white) light. So black is technically not a color.

But objects in the natural world

and how we perceive color? It's the opposite and dependent on perspective.


When we see black it means that the surface we are looking at has absorbed all the colors.


When we see white it means that the surface we are looking at has reflected all the colors.

For example think about printers. When you don't have a black ink cartridge, to print black it combines All the colors to make black, and white is the complete absence of any colors or ink. Just the paper reflecting light and colors into your eye.

Also the colors a printer uses are Cyan Magenta and Yellow :sheep:
