What'd you think of it? (under collapse/spoiler tags please? :p)
It was good. the whole role swap between the Princesses and Sombra seems interesting. I wonder what the story is between the Mane 6's alternate selves. Sombra's Sacrifice at the end to keep the two world's order in check was the best part. the Jokes they made were good lol

Yeah, apparently they've "evil" in that world as well. The role swaps were definitely interesting.

I think the part I liked the most was the romance between Celestia and the good Sombra, and in turn, Tia showed a lot more emotion and personality in the comic than she usually does in the show, at least I think it did. And the ending was just saddening....

Well I still thought it was nice. Perhaps I was just happy that Celestia had found love, and the emotion of their romance seemed quite realistic, too. Even if it was cliche, I personally thought it was well handled regardless.

Twilight had some good moments in the comic too.

Could've been better, but it was still pretty enjoyable.

imo She was the closest villain to having a chance to win due to the fact that she didn't have to do anything but delay her attack until Rarity was completely under her control and if she imprisoned Spike like she should have done to prevent him from rescuing the others.

Discord actually won, for about 2 minutes

He didn't actually win. He just "defeated" the Mane 6 by making them their polar opposites. As long as there is a force that can make you lose you haven't won. he did nothing with Celestia or Luna so they could revert the Mane 6 like Celestia did by sending the letters she learned throughout S1.

You have a point, but I believe Tirek was even closer.

I mean, if the events from the S4 premiere would've never happened, he would win.

S5:

Starlight Glimmer came very close to winning as well, at least at one point, had it not been for Fluttershy and her kind attitude towards them.

but it was going to happen. he could have won regardless actually. guests did say that he could won if he double crossed Twilight and imprisoned her and her friends even after giving up her Alicorn magic he would have been victorious. my argument for this is he didn't have a reason to imprison them like he did with the other princesses and didn't find her to be a threat. Why waste time on those who you don't consider to be a threat.

We don't know how close they were to giving in to their philosophy so we can't say that she was close imo..
The Changelings would've also won, if it weren't for Twilight having suspicions towards "Cadence"
Twilight's suspicious behavior only imprisoned her. Chrysalis made an attempt to communicate with her which lead to her finding the real Cadance. She still could have won if she was being more careful and didn't let Twilight get to Cadance and prevented her and Shining Armor from using their spell.

Unrelated to the villain thing, but still a S5 Spoiler:

Someone made a comparison to a sound effect used in the second half the premiere, and also, well:

In other words, Tirek screwed himself up

I also think that Chrysalis was the cruelest of the villains, or at least, the things that ended up happening to Twilight was a crueler fate than any other.

I'd really like the writers to make a psychopath villain while still keeping the show kid-friendly.

That would be amazing to watch, imo

and I'd have to say Nightmare Rarity was again lol. She took control of one of the Mane 6 to prevent the Elements of harmony from defeating her and placed the others in a jail cell that was too small for them to stand up in. She also contemplated on having the key to be thrown away. Twilight was given room to stretch her legs out and ability to walk around when Chrysalis imprisoned her

That's true.

In regards to emotional distress though....Twilight pretty much had everyone she knew and loved turned against her favor, not to mention not believing her at all....

Although it was extremely hard on her, it was only her. The others hadn't had anything happen to them yet though apart from Cadance. A case of Ignorance is Bliss I suppose, at least until Chrysalis would intend on revealing herself.
