That episode as a whole was just amazing.

Also, the Illuminati guy doesn't appear as a character until near the S1 finale. Apart from the intro, there are plenty of other hints towards his existence in the show prior to his debut episode. See what you can find. The show itself has a lot of hints and teases involved with it, creates quite a lot of mysteries and theories.
