Bluegrass Smash is the first Melee / Smash4 regional event hosted by Central Kentucky Melee. Beginning in February 2015, we have run successful Melee Monthlies and are using our saved up funds to help throw a larger event! We are partnering with Austin Sipes of Bourbon State Gaming to include Smash4.

4436 Kit Carson Dr, Richmond, KY 40475 (Perkins Building on EKU Campus; Quads event space)
240 person official capacity (capped at 200 for the event) with ~7000+ Square footage of floor space
2 projectors with large screens for stream broadcast.
2 projectors with smaller screens for bracket / match displaying.
Large dedicated parking lot next to the venue!
Event / Entry Fees (currently under review):
Venue Fee = $10 ($15 starting May 18th at 11:59pm)
- Will also need to be paid by spectators / people playing friendlies (stays at $10)
Melee Singles = $10
Melee Doubles = $10 per player ($20 per team)
Smash 4 Singles = $10
Smash 4 Doubles = $10 per player ($20 per team)
Deadlines:
April 30th, Saturday (11:59pm) - Last day to register and be entered into a random drawing to enter for free (all of your registration fee will be payed back to you the day of the event!)
May 18th, Wednesday (11:59pm) - Venue fee increases to $15 after this date/time.
May 19th, Thursday (11:59pm) - Last day to Register.
May 19th, Thursday (11:59pm) - Last day to confirm doubles partner and for Refund. After that time, no refunds will be offered, no exceptions. If Stripe was your payment method, you will be refunded in full.

10:30 AM: Melee/Smash 4 double elimination doubles brackets begin
1 PM: Melee/Smash 4 Wave A bracket pools begin
3 PM: Melee/Smash 4 Wave B bracket pools begin
5 PM: Dinner block
6 PM: Melee (Top 32)/Smash 4 (Top 32) double elimination singles brackets begin
11 PM: Venue closes
Tournament Format:
Singles will begin with round robin or bracket pools pools. Players from each pool will advance to winner bracket and losers bracket, with a maximum of 64 total making it to bracket.*
Each set will be bo3, until Winners/Losers Semi-Finals (4 players left), then it will be bo5.
*Number of entrants and pools will determine how many per pool make it to bracket.
