Welcome to the Birdo for Super Smash Bros Brawl thread. We all want Birdo for brawl right? Birdo is both a retro and current character in the Super Mario series. Birdo deserves a shot in the Brawl series, heck she was part of the Super Mario Bros 2 Course in Melee.

MOVESET:

B = Suck and project - Birdo sucks an enemy and can shoot the egg out of her mouth taking on two enemies at once. To keep the enemy in her mouth, the user holds B.

B sideways = Bow boomerang - Birdo throws her bow as a boomerang

B Up = Egg charge - THIS IS NOT A JUMP! Birdo unleashes a giant egg towards her enemy.

B down = Egg shield - Birdo creates two eggs to gaurd her sides.

SUPER = Birdo jumps up and releashes a rapid fire of eggs from her mouth.

ICON = Mario icon, what do you expect?

Taunt = Her usual Birdo noises and blows a kiss

PARTNER IN TEAM MATCHES = Yoshi of course!

I would agree with you 75 %. However, I just want Birdo to be a costume of Yoshi & for the developers to Luigify her moveset.

I believe orginal is better. I remember the overuse of clones in melee, and didn't like it.

Contrary to your belief,a majority of us believe that Birdo sucks,and that the game shouldn't be filled with generic Mario characters that don't reflect any of Nintendo's history,the only thing she is known for is being a post-op Yoshi.

And if you search,you would notice that a Majority(Possibly all) of the Birdo topics are locked.

All in all,i say no.

Another thing,i give you 0 points for originality...

Contrary to your belief,a majority of us believe that Birdo sucks,and that the game should be filled with generic Mario characters that don't reflect any of Nintendo's history,the only thing she is known for is being a post-op Yoshi.

And if you search,you would notice that a Majority(Possibly all) of the Birdo topics are locked.

No. . . i cannot give him/her a fair chance,regaurdless if she is retro or not,she is nothing but a generic Mario character that has been thrown around in a few Mario games.Birdo's history has been changed dramatically from being in one game(Super Mario bros. 2),to a generic spin off character.

If you include Birdo,you might as well include the other crappy generic characters such as Toad,Toadette or any other generic Mario character.

So my FINAL answer to this characters incluision is an odious no.

Yoshi is a great character with lots of history,and has featured and has had several games:

Super Mario World(SNES)
Super Maro World 2:Yoshi's Island(SNES,GBA)
Yoshi Story(N64)
Yoshi Cookie(NES)
Yoshi:Universal Gravitation(GBA)
Yoshi:Touch and Go(DS)
Yoshi's Island 2(DS)

These are not all of them iether.

How can you even comapare? And don't even try to give me a list of Mario Sports games she has been in,because that is all that Birdo has.

My Birdo is not a clone. That article was suggesting to make Birdo a skin for Yoshi, mine is for an orginal character.

That is why you SERACH for it,even sill,it is a topic about Birdo,you could have still posted your ideas there,and should have knowing how much these forums dislike re-used topics.

They originally said Birdo was a guy who thought he was a girl, therefore he dressed up like one.

Later on, Nintendo changed it so Birdo was a girl.

you don't have any facts and reasonings for her to be in brawl, besides "you know we all want her in there" personal opinons don't mean much in business, you know. Get some facts. She hasn't been in many games, and the games she HAS BEEN IN she was merely a sidekick or non-playable character.

The Yoshi Egg icon might make sense, due to the relationship Nintendo's trying to pull off (or I think is triny to pull off), but she hasn't appeared in any Yoshi games, so it wouldn't work out.

I think Birdo deserves the chance. Not only is she original and retro, but she is one of the few female baddies that is still alive. Birdo seems to be confused with either being a generic species or a certain person. I think she's a certain person since the original description of her said that "He believed to be a girl" (which hopefully is a typo) but at least they were right in the Singular sense rather than saying "They think they ar girls" which is plural, Nintendo clearly stated Birdo as one certain character. However in the present games Nintendo seems to portray Birdo as a generic species, but hey Yoshi is also a generic species.

We all know there is a certain Yoshi which is the one added in the Spin offs and his own games, right? (Correct me if im wrong) Well There is also a certain Birdo, just look at the role she's played, and all the Spin Off's she's been to.

BTW back then when she was created there could be no female heroes/enemies because that violated Nintendo's ban on violence against women. So therefore female biggies with the exclusion of Damsels in Didtress' (Captain Syrup, Samus, Birdo, Poison) had to have the excuse of pretending to be male.

Yoshi has starred in several games, while Birdo was simply a recurring mini-boss. You cannot possibly compare their significance.

Plus, while your moveset is unique, there is no basis for them. You simply decided "hey she can shoot eggs!" and made everything egg themed, the end result being a pretty stupid moveset.

Due to yoshi's recurring appearances in games as a star or sidekick, he has a large arsenal of techniques for Smash.
