Smash Journeyman
First I would like to say that this game is amazing. Let's just get it out of the way. Second, it's possibly the best story-driven FPS I have played since the Half-Lifes. Yes way better than Halo and Halo 2.
I beat it yesterday and am well on my way to a second run through. The story behind it is just amazingly well told and the plot twists are very clever. It also does a very good job at making you feel personally insulted and attacked when you finally get to the end of the game. It's purely great.
Everything about this game is well done. Voice acting (probably the best in any game I have ever played), the retro weapons, the Plasmid and Tonic upgrading system (there are actually moral choices you have to make when upgrading, which is different anything out there), the level design (the city of Rapture is a huge place to explore at your leisure, and doing so presents many rewards and plunder), and even the music mesh together to create an amazing experience.
So what did you guys think of it? Lets discuss story, Plasmid uses, anything. The game deserves our attention and appreciation.
