Okay, so that last post I've made was a bit of a, exaggeration on my part. But, I want to correct that. I want to give my think Captain Marvel would be a perfect fit for Smash Bros. Video game character or not.

History
Carol Danvers was a decorated Air Force Major and pilot, having joined since a young age. Eventually, Carol moved to the intelligence field, serving the CIA for a period of time. One day, while working with NASA, Carol met Dr. Philip Lawson who was secretly the Kree agent, Mar-Vell, also known as the original Captain Marvel.

During a battle with one of Captain Marvel's enemies, a device known as the Kree Psyche-Magnetron exploded. While Captain Marvel managed to shield Carol from the radiation, she absorbed some of Captain Marvel's genetic template which became fused to her own DNA making her a Human-Kree hybrid. After waking from the explosion, Carol discovered that she had developed superpowers. Later, Carol took on the superhero persona of Ms. Marvel.

During her adventures, Carol had her powers and memories stolen by the mutant, Rogue. Eventually, X-Men headmaster, Professor X managed to restore Carol's memories but not her powers. Carol did became a longstanding partner of the X-Men becoming the team's number one pilot and intelligence operative. While with the team, Carol was captured by an alien brood that subjected her to a procedure that unlocked the full potential of her powers, which lead her to become Binary.

However, after the death of Mar-Vell, Carol currently took on the persona of Captain Marvel, as means to honor his memory.

Moveset
Captain Marvel's moveset would try to incorporate some of her powers in some capacity.
Entrance: Captain Marvel flies down and impacts the ground hard.

Idle: Captain Marvel floats above the ground

Attacks:
Jab: Captain Marvel does three punches
Dash Attack: Captain Marvel does a shoulder ram
Forward Tilt: Captain Marvel does a forward kick
Up Tilt: Captain Marvel kicks upwards
Down Tilt: Captain Marvel does a low kick

Neutral Air: Captain Marvel does a kick on the air
Up Air: Captain Marvel kicks above her
Forward Air: Captain Marvel does a downward punch
Back Air: Captain Marvel does a hammer punch behind her
Down Air: Captain Marvel kicks down towards the ground

Forward Smash: Captain Marvel throws a punch imbued with energy
Up Smash: Captain Marvel throws her fists into the air creating a energy explosion
Down Smash: Captain Marvel slams her fist her energy imbued fist into the ground creating a shockwave

Specials:
Neutral: Photon Beam - Captain Marvel fires a beam made of energy. The longer the button is held down, the more powerful the beam is
Forward: Binary Rush - Captain Marvel dashes towards her opponent already imbued with energy. If connected, she immediately uppercuts her opponent upwards
Up: Takeoff - Captain Marvel imbued with energy rockets upwards
Down: Energy Absorption - Captain Marvel creates an energy shield around herself, which absorbs any projectile attack and slightly replenishes her own health. Much akin to Lucas's down special.

Grabs
Grab: Captain Marvel grabs her opponent and holds them by the collar
Jab: Captain Marvel knees her opponent
Forward: Captain Marvel punches her opponent forward
Back: Captain Marvel throws her opponent behind her before firing an energy beam at them
Up: Captain Marvel kicks up opponent upwards
Down: Captain Marvel throws her opponent to the ground before punching them

Final Smash: Binary Blast - Captain Marvel goes into her Binary form shouting, "You're gonna feel this!", before flying to the top of the stage and then fire a massive beam of energy which can be adjusted with the directional stick.

Argument
I've seen articles online where the Vice President and creative director of Marvel Games said that anything can happen, and considering that Nintendo is currently publishing the third Ultimate Alliance game, so chances are, that might be a slight possibility.

Counterargument
We all know that Captain Marvel is not a video game character so her being a playable character in Smash is way too far-fetched.

Due to some confusion, there was a thought the thread was okay. For the record, Nintendo must own the IP for us to allow a character who didn't originate in a video game to have a thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.
