I keep hearing that brawl replays saves are recreations of the match. In order for that to be true that must mean that all inputs made by the user are stored in a particular replay. Does this mean I could look into the replay file and find the input commands at a particular time in a replay?

I am asking because I want to figure out how to recreate this:

Falco's Ftilt does not typically slide backwards like it does Peach's dtilt. I was hoping that I could figure out if this was a fluke of the game's physics or really something that can be duplicated on command and I was hoping that the brawl replay could provide that answer.

If it can, what would I need in order to read that .bin file?
