Make of it what you will, but this is possible given that the Nintendo Treehouse members have people who play a much updated version of Smash. The one back at E3 and Comic Con has been heard to very outdated, probably since March or even January and Bill said it himself in the CC stream that he couldnt pull off some stuff in the current shown demo.
What do you guys think?
I thought it was obvious that the E3/SDCC demos were dated before the April Direct?
Those demo builds are pretty dated, man.

Don't know the exact quote, but he said something along the lines that the combos are a bit different due to the dated build.

I don't see how there's any other way to take his comment other than this really.
I think that this topic is pretty much drenched in gasoline right now.
It's really just him saying that it's hard getting used to Melee again after playing Smash 4, I wouldn't look too hard into it.
Even D1 is wondering what he means. This is serious.
He is a guy from Nintendo Treehouse. I think he is the head of that whole place if I remember? Something like that, either way he was at the SDCC smash tourney and even played against Toph and Scar. (Lol toph got 4 stocked XD)
Bill Trinen is the Senior Product Marketing Manager for Nintendo. He is also a professional Japanese translator.
When he was playing Mario and went for the down B Mario tornado off the stage to recover... I think we all shed a tear when he used the FLUDD and fell to his death.

I think the general Melee community is just watching and waiting for his response to D1 lol. This tweet is two hours old yo. If we were gonna rip him a new one we would've already, but we won't cause that is stupid to do.
You may not rip him a new one, but you'd be surprised at how far fans can go for something they love. Just look at the abuse that Brawl endured.
And look at the abuse the melee competitive community also endured from some "brawl fans" and I use that term lightly since I know it is just a subset of people who are really just jerks. It goes both ways, end of discussion.
