after champ combo pocket and finally seeing the vids. I realize that snake will have a lot of trouble against small character. Especially campy ones or people with projectiles.

why?

Simply because one of his fastest and deadliest move doesn't work on them. The 3 hit combo (neutral a)

I was kinda confuse at how pikachu and olimar can grab me mid way or how they don't get hit by the last one. Well I just went to training mode real quick and found out that the characters r so small that when they get hit by the first hit. Their "hit animation" make them lean down too much that the second move wont hit!

So what does this mean? It means that you can't get them with the fastest mvoe if they realize that the 2nd hit wont connect.

Another big disadvantage snake have is aerial approaches. Psycho ****** and I agree that snake have a bad aerial approach game. What makes it worst? Approaching a character that is half the size of you! It is like almost impossible to hit them when they are that small with an aerial since snake moves takes a while to come out and aim about his waist usually.

so yeah. Small characters like olimar and pikachu r really hard to fight. Since they can also intercept snake projectiles with their own projectiles too.

I'm not saying they r like impossible to win but u have to use a different approach than normal. Might take a while for us to get used to it.

Hmm, cant you use the FTilt and Dtilt on them? They arent the strongest moves but its a suggestion.

I havent even played brawl yet and Im pretty sure from watching some vids u wont need to worry about his aprooching game. You just gotta think, hey snake can be campy too(probbably the best in the game with all his projectiles.) He will be able to out camp other chars. Eventually someone will get bored and try to get to u. Then u punish them with ur SPLOSIONS.

Just use a light toss with a gernade so it doesn't bounce or use the nikata missle and drop it on there heads. I don't really know tho i havn't played the game.

Amazing, you all had the same avatar.

Jigglypuff is looking pretty good then as well.

I wonder how crouching with mid size characters could affect this as well....

Ok let me clarify, short characters are not too hard to beat or anything it's just that you can't land certain attacks that would normally hit a taller character which is annoying forcing you to change up your play style and such

that.

Due to brawl's new law, spamming the same move make it become really worthless haha.

You can use forward tilt which is what I use against small character. That works fine, but the knock back decrease as the time passes on. What I'm emphasizing is that you need a fast move for a slow char. Forward tilt is nowhere near as fast as the 3 hit combo though =(

Snake will prevail, no worries! He's got a good enough arsenal of weapons to take on the worst of challenges ^^ besides, what does this mean, that I have to have 2 strategies playing as Snake instead of one that is good for everyone? That's not a bad inconvenience, you know...

ive been playing snake as well and i have to say that snakes dash attack is very fast and sweeps the floor.
also if you do a shorthop down aerial you can get multiple strong hits, but it leaves you semi open depending on which kicks hit them.
