Can some one please help me by giving me the best type and setup connection to play Brawl with the least amount of lag? (If its possible to get this connection at this point.)

Routers are pretty much the same. It depends more on your protocol, but signal strength isn't the problem--it's lag, which is mostly the same no matter what wireless connection you have.

If you really care that much, use a wired connection from your Wii to your Internet. Any non-dialup internet connection has roughly the same latency, except for satellite connections. You won't be able to play online if you have a satellite connection.

Hope this helps.

It does and thanks. I thought that a direct route from the CPU to the Wii would be the best, I just had no way of doing that.

It doesn't matter.

I promise you'll be fine, as long as you don't have a satellite connection or 26.3 Kbs dial-up.

Don't worry; Sakurai is watching out for you.

I'm not an expert on this but I think wiring an ethernet from your wii to your router/ modem or whatever works better than relying on Wi-Fi.

Also, when I used to play halo 2 for xbox online, I got better connection if I unplugged my computers ethernet cable from the router. The fewer things you have trying to use the internet should speed it up a little.

If you want a fast connection, go with Wii Lan.

Supposedly it has 5 signal bars instead of 3, it just don't show.

It goes fast for me, and since that Wii update fixed the bug with Wiiconnect 24 with Lan not working..
Its splendid.

Slightly off topic, but there should be an online thread, just to get people more in tuned to it.
For example, maybe people like me. Because I did not understand half the dialogue and terms in this thread. Maybe a thread that would describe and fully explain steps and items needed to get online and the proper specifics and crap.

Anyways, sorry to prolong this thread. Also, sorry if something like this DOES actually exist.

Dreaded? Come on now...

What type of Wired connection do you have?

If your using it via one modem then yeah that would suck. Since it would cut off your internet...which is why you use a substitute.
