Best text-based chatroom for playing against people online?

First post, Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this. I want to participate in some Wi-Fi battles in Smash 4 Wii-u and I need some sort of chatroom where me and the other person can type live messages back and forth without having to keep refreshing the page. I don't want to video or voice chat, just text messaging. Please don't suggest Anther's Ladder either

just use skype. you get the option to only do messaging that way. no voice or video unless by choice.

I used to go to Fsmash.org for Brawl. I haven't been in a while, but I'm sure you could use it for Smash 4 too.
