Best stage against the fastest characters on the ground?

I played yesterday against a Sonic player in bracket, and I don't wanna john but he won because Sonic, he was a great player but not as good as I am. I went Yoshi Story ( I play 3DS too ) because I always pick small stages due to Doc's low speed, but I think that it doesn't work in this match up. What do you guys think?

Don't think about the size of the stage, think about the blast zones and platforms.

I have to think about the size because Doc is really slow, he can't just go and punish attacks and chase after people. He needs to be at close range, so characters like Sonic, Pit or Shulk, can just dance around you and if they space well you can't even touch them, their speed or range makes the mu much harder.
