I currently main ROB and I want to know who should be main second main to help counter ROB's weaknesses, mainly MK and MGW.

So who do you guys use to counter ROB's weaknesses? I was thinking about TL, but I"m not sure.

Personally I like using Donkey Kong as a second main. Bairs and down smash give Meta Knight a run for his money. Donkey Kong is also very underestimated and quite the shocker.

Hi dusty! My rob owns your souls =P Anyways, snake is good, tl is also good. Normal link is also imo good against mk. Falco might work as well.

Toon Link is probably the best choice if ytou can use him well. I could not use him to the standards I would like, so I picked up Metaknight and Snake both.

Just remember that Zelda's are trouble too, so picking up Marth might not be a bad idea. :)

I'm trying to get the hang of Snake as my secondary, myself. He played dramatically different then ROB, and I'm a sucker for a character with a lot of weird move properties (I love ROB and all, but I could play with Snake's grenades ALL DAY). He nicely hoses G&W and MK, too. Never fought a good Zelda, though, so I might grab someone else...

You are also on here? Anyways, you have played ROB a lot longer than I have, so that is why you are able to beat me. I will own you one day.

It may not be the best choice and I certainly didn't choose him for this purpose, but Pokemon Trainer may not be too bad. In every match up you'll have one Pokemon that's evenly matched and one that's a good counter and it's very possible to get away with using only two Pokemon in a fight. Aside from R.O.B. and PT I've also been playing a good deal of Zelda, but I can't really speak for how she does against Snakes/Metaknights as for whatever reason no one on my campus mains them... Should play some more Wi-Fi, but it's finals time :-(

Why Toon Link?
Toon Link does well against G&W and Metaknight both, is unused mostly in competitive play, and Toon Link has a strong projectile game. ROB is used to this, so you can transfer easily. He's also about the same floatiness.

Basically, he excels where ROB does not but still feels similar.
